The True Story

It all started with post-consumer polyester waste. Waste that we threw away. This waste was collected, sorted and processed so that it could beturned into something new.

Something exciting and something valuable. Something that does not only look good, but also makes you feel good. We made new window decoration fabrics out of it.

Because together, we decide the future and create fabrics that matter. Sustainable and unique fabrics. True® fabrics.

100% post-consumer recycled polyester

True® is a fair and transparent label for window decoration fabrics and is only applied when we are sure that it meets all the sustainability criteria. Fabrics labelled with the True logo, are genuine, sustainable fabrics. Products with this label are real products. Made with fair, traceable materials and honest manufacturing processes. And most of the time, they are made from post-consumer recycled polyester.

Meeting quality marks

True is not a quality mark. Articles that carry the True label can (and must) meet certain quality marks, used in our industry such as Oeko-Tex, GRS, REMOkey or Cradle to Cradle.
The exact quality marks vary per item. There should and cannot be any doubt about the origin of the materials and the production method used. This is verified by an independent audit company, outside our sphere of influence.

Independently certified

The pleated fabrics in this collection that are labelled with the True trademark, are all made of 100% post-consumer recycled polyester. They are independently certified; all produced in Western-Europe and carry the Oeko-Tex standard 100 label as well. By purchasing a True product instead of a product made of virgin polyester, you reduce your carbon footprint and therefore contribute to a better future. Interested in the True story? *REMOkey® calculates the environmental savings in terms of CO2eq emissions, energy and water consumption. The calculation is based on a Life-Cycle Assessment (LCA) approach, which considers only the replacement of the raw material with recycled material. This analysis is carried out using the ‘Modint Ecotool’ software, developed by CE Delft, based on generally accepted LCA databases, international studies, literature and company data.
